ABOUT US
Patois Production® emerged when our founder and visionary producer, Kim Rabsatt, began to expand her awareness of black history and culture through authors of the African diaspora. Inspired, Kim combined her passion for storytelling and work experience to create a company that uses the powerful medium of media to celebrate and express cultural heritage. We are committed to expressing culture through media® by designing impactful and transformative content that leaves a mark on audiences worldwide.
Under Patois Production, Kim is developing and producing an exciting slate of projects, including a dynamic television series, an engaging podcast, and an enigmatic untitled short film. Kim's previous producer credits include independent feature films "For the Cause" and "Ring Liberty." Beyond the world of cinema, Kim's leadership extends to event and program production, where she served as a Production Supervisor at Landmark Education.
Kim began her career as a producer’s assistant on the seven-time Oscar nominated film, “The Thin Red Line” written and directed by Terrence Malick. Her career continued to expand in entertainment development and production on the Peabody Awarded / two-time NAACP Image Award nominated Black Starz made for TV movie “A Huey P. Newton Story” directed by Spike Lee; MTV Europe premiered music video “The Finest” directed by Carl Ford; NYU short films "The Walk" and "Love Hurts"; and directorial debut on public access television show “What’s Now.”
Kim Rabsatt is a member of NYWIFT and has earned a BBA at Adelphi University as well as studied Producing for Film & Television and Project Management at New York University.
